project three | modular
This project was created during the UC Davis DES191 course. The program that were used to create this project was TreeMaker, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
The course was a student taught class about Origami. We worked with different forms and styles of origami that prepared us for our final project. The modcular model kit was the final product. It is a modular origami based organic chemistry kit. The reason why I chose to create this was because when I took organic chemistry, it was reccommended that we had a molecular kit in order to visualize the 3D structures. However, they were very costly even though they were very helpful. Using origami to create the molecules creates a cheaper alternative and more eco friendly option.
